Must-See Midlothian

Midlothian, VA Community

Ready for some spooktacular fun? This October, Midlothian, Virginia, is rolling out the orange carpet for all the little monsters, superheroes, and magical creatures out there. If your kids have been planning their costumes since July or you just want a night out surrounded by glowing pumpkins, you’re in for a treat. Let’s dive into the coolest Halloween adventures and family-friendly events happening all across town this season.

Not So Scary Halloween at Woodlake: The Tamer Side of Spooky

Tiny trick-or-treaters and timid monsters need not fear. The Not So Scary Halloween Monster Mash at Woodlake Community Association is made just for the little ones. For just $8 per child (age 2 and up), pint-sized partiers can collect treats, play games, and make crafts that won’t send anyone running from the room. Held shortly before Halloween, this event is designed to make everyone smile and let even the youngest ghosts join in the fun.

Costumes are more than welcome, so get the camera ready for snapshots of unicorns, pirates, and the occasional dinosaur. Friendly volunteers and themed stations mean kids can relax and simply enjoy being part of the community.

Spooktacular! at Bailey Bridge Middle School: Classic Costumes, Treats, and More

This family-friendly bash brings Halloween treats to the next level. The event at Bailey Bridge Middle School on Tuesday, October 28th, invites kids to dress up, join classmates, and maybe even outshine their teachers. Enjoy trunk-or-treat festivities, costume contests, and interactive booths with friendly volunteers ready to dish out smiles and sweets.

It’s the perfect place for families looking for a safe, joyful trick-or-treat experience. Neighborhood groups and local businesses often get involved, ensuring every bag is filled with a wild mix of chocolate, gummies, and non-candy surprises. Everyone leaves happy, tired, and just a little sticky.

Big Kids & Grownups: Uptown Alley Thriller Night and Halloween Bud Bash

If you have older teens or grownups who want in on the fun, there’s even more action after dark. Uptown Alley’s Thriller Night on October 31st is the hotspot for wild costumes, live music, and 80s, 90s, and 00s hits blasting all night. It’s all about showing off your best look and dancing until you drop. Tickets are affordable, parking is easy, and the atmosphere is pure Halloween.

For social butterflies age 21+, the Halloween Bud Bash at Harbour Pointe Clubhouse and Pool on October 25th keeps the spirit alive beyond kids’ bedtime. Costumes are encouraged but not required, so just show up ready to celebrate.
