Mark your calendars for a special Veterans Day gathering at Mission BBQ! They are hosting their annual celebration on November 11th, kicking off right at noon. This event is a fantastic way to show your support and enjoy some good food in the company of fellow community members who want to express their gratitude. For families with young children, the Virginia War Memorial is offering “Storytime at the Memorial,” a wonderful program designed to introduce kids to the importance of Veterans Day through engaging readings and activities. You can join them on Wednesday, November 5th, or Saturday, November 22nd. The featured book is “Pepper’s Purple Heart: A Veterans Day Story,” and kids will get to create their own Purple Heart buttons and cards for veterans.
